The BYD SEALION 5 DM-i benefits from BYD’s ground-breaking Super Hybrid with DM technology. DM stands for Dual Mode, and the system operates in two distinct ways – as a hybrid car, combining electric power and fuel, and as a fully electric car with up to 53 miles of pure-electric range thanks to the SEALION 5 DM-i’s two Blade Batteries. The system’s intelligent control (the ‘i’ in DM-i) improves efficiency during hybrid driving , with a combined fuel consumption of as little as 470 mpg. The SEALION 5 DM-i’s range is up to 631 miles when fully charged and with a full tank of petrol.
The BYD SEALION 5 DM-i features a full suite of driver assistance technologies, including Adaptive Cruise Control and Intelligent Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assistance, Blind Spot Detection, Intelligent Speed Limit Control, Lane Departure Warning, and Forward and Rear Collision Warning.
